Our childbirth education team takes the guesswork out of finding the information you need to prepare for your birth and parenting choices. At Maryland State Doulas, we offer a variety of fully customizable birth class options that can be taken in a class setting or privately, accommodating your unique schedule and covering only those topics you wish to explore, and fully preparing you in a way that no other class can.
We extend upon the basics of birth to make sure couples are prepared for every scenario and environment when making choices for their birthing situation. Whether that plan involves a birth team and addition of a doula or the full, trained support of a loved one, our birth class options will leave you feeling confident and prepared for your birthing day!

Childbirth in the "Express Lane"

Need a childbirth class that is completely informative in an all-day setting? This popular course is perfect for preparation for any birth setting and covers comfort measures, medical pain relief, anatomy, stages and phases of labor, induction and cesarean preparation and more! You'll leave feeling confident in your abilities to plan the birth that's perfect for you!

We highly recommend this class for all of our first time laboring clients, or families needing a birth refresher course. Taught at George Washington University Hospital, we specifically speak to medical interventions and procedures at a variety of area hospitals, including GWU, Sibley, Holy Cross, WHC, Shady Grove, and more.
