Many of us don’t have photographic memories, but we can vividly remember the sensations, sights and sounds around us from an important milestone in our lives by simply closing our eyes.
What if you could do that with the day you welcomed your baby?
I can clearly see the tough, strong and emotional journey of welcoming my first son into the world in my head, but I cannot share that experience with him or relay to myself with a snapshot in an album or on a wall. We have a few blurry pictures, taken in horrible lighting after he was all snuggled into a swaddle, but they hide so much of what I took away from that day.
