How To Take Great iPhone Photos of Baby

taking great photos of baby feet is possible with these tips for using your iPhone

You've always got it on hand - your phone is a great resource for taking candid shots to send to family. How can you make sure the ones you're taking are quality? Here are some tips from our photographers:

1. Get On Baby’s Level

When you take a photo from above, you get a really strange and angled/distorted view. The background of the photo also drowns out your child and what is going on. Getting on their level allows you to capture your child.

2. Action Shots

Your kids move! Babies can’t be expected to post or say ‘cheese’ so if you want to find those random motions and movements, you need to be prepared for an action shot. Your camera luckily has the capability of this in burst mode. When you hold your finger on the shutter bottom, the camera will continuously take pictures until you lift it, and you can go through and find the best shot from the bunch.

3. Focus

When you’re zooming in or auto focusing the camera, look at the eyes of your child for the focus and 10 times out of 10 you’ll get an amazingly balanced shot.

4. Bring Up The Light

It’s extremely hard to balance lighting in the moment. Use your editing tools to adjust the lighting and bring up back lighting, especially in darker rooms, to get the focus and qualities you need.

5. Use Apps

Apps can create amazing, artistic quality photos. Make sure that you use the editing tool on your phone first to compose the photo’s color, sharpness and focus prior to using an app and you’ll have a breathtaking shot in no time!
