One of our family traditions during the holiday season is checking out the winter wonderlands set up in miniature - train gardens! If you're in search of one to captivate your child's imagination, here are some of the season's best!
Marley Station Mall
Glen Burnie, MD
The amazing, one room train garden in the upper level of the mall (by the Macy’s entrance) is not one to be missed! Free during mall hours (donations are encouraged and go to North County Emergency Outreach), you can easily captivate your kiddos for an hour or so.

Not to be missed, the annual train garden always features a theme as well as familiar sights from around the state that will peak the interest. There are several interactive displays for toddlers and school aged alike to enjoy!

Homestead Gardens
Davidsonville, MD
An annual favorite to captivate the kiddos while they wait for Santa, the large train display is also surrounded by old fashioned ride on toys. Set in the open air of the greenhouse around the festive poinsettias, you’ll be sure to keep an eye out for the tiny neighborhoods included in the scene. Grab some cocoa while you’re at it!

B&O Railroad Museum
Baltimore, MD
Perhaps the most obvious place to visit it is one of the homes of the rails in the heart of Baltimore! During the Holiday Festival of Trains, the museum is open and runs a few additional spectacular train displays!
